Pishin: Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan has said that the incumbent government has allocated huge funds for the improvement of the health sector in the province besides tackling the COVID-19 challenge.

“Major development projects have been included in the annual development program according to the needs of all the districts”, PM Kamal said this while talking to tribal elders, Baluchistan Awami Party leaders and members of public delegations who called on him here on Friday. Provincial Ministers Mir Zia Langu, Mir Zahoor Buledi, Muhammad Khan Lahri, Parliamentary Secretary Mah Jabeen Sheeran and Bushra Rind were also present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion the CM said that funds have been allocated for the construction of roads, hospitals, educational institutions, in each district. The timely completion of these projects he said would be instrumental in the development of districts on an equal footing.

The visiting delegations thanked the Chief Minister for the ongoing development projects in various sectors in Pishin district and said, “It is the first provincial government that has laid the groundwork for development projects in the Pishin district beyond political affiliations”.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister visited the District Hospital where he was briefed about the problems and lack of facilities in the hospital by the DHO and the Medical Superintendent. On the occasion, the Chief Minister directed the concerned authorities to provide an echo machine and tube well for the hospital. He also issued directives for filling the vacancies of medical staff, and the establishment of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in the hospital.

The Chief Minister also inspected the under construction business complex and bus stand and directed for early completion of the project. During the inspection of Pishin Bypass, the Chief Minister directed the installation of street lights and construction of an overhead bridge for girls’ school in the project. The Chief Minister also inspected the under construction building of Law College.

The CM stressed the need for preserving the old building of the Assistant Commissioner’s Office as a heritage site and directed the concerned authorities to set up a Law College Library in the building.
