LAHORE: Usman Buzdar, Chief Minister (CM) Punjab has asked assembly members to monitor implementation of government directives on prevention of corona virus epidemic in their respective constituencies.
He said this while talking to several Punjab Assembly (PA) members who called on him here Wednesday in CM House.
MPAs who met CM Punjab included provincial ministers Yasir Hummayun, Mian Khalid Mehmood, Omar Aftab, Khurram Ejaz, Sher Akbar Khan, Muhammad Sabtain Raza, Muhammad Raza Hussain Bokhari, Sarfraz Hussain, Shahida Ahmad and Sabrina Javed.
Chief Whip MPA, Syed Abbas Ali Shah and secretary good governance committee Col (Retd) Ijaz Hussain were also present on the occasion.
The members of Punjab Assembly congratulated CM Punjab on presenting relief budget for the next fiscal year. They also apprised the CM Punjab of the problems facing the people of their respective constituencies.
CM Punjab said development works will be carried out on priority basis in the respective constituencies of members of Punjab Assembly. No one will be allowed to hamper the genuine development works.
He stated the worst affected areas were sealed to prevent spread of corona virus. The members of assembly should monitor implementation of government directives on containment of COVID-19 in their respective constituencies. Full cooperation from the people is must to curb corona virus epidemic.
He urged the citizens to abide by government guidelines strictly to stay safe from corona virus. The enforcement of restrictions recently in Punjab has started yielding encouraging results. The people should make it their habit to adhere to protective measures. Those markets which don’t comply with SOPs will be sealed.
He said that orders for wearing masks in the government offices and public places are being implemented strictly. The citizens will have to discharge their obligations by adhering to corona safety protocol.
