Books Review

The Power of now is one of those rare books that I loved to read over and over again. The book is a Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment was written by Eckhart Tolle, a German-born author, in 1999 also in 2008, a writer of New York Times called him “the most popular spiritual author in the United States. Inspirationally, The book is a self-help book which stresses the importance of living in the present moment and avoiding thoughts, ideologies, feelings of the past and future. Furthermore, The book is a collection of experimentations, ideas, thoughts and lessons that I hesitate to review. It uses these traditions to describe a “belief system based on living in the present moment”. Really, The Power of now is a book of being read again and again because it tells the value and importance of present, and removes all the bullshits thoughts of the past and future too. The author rightly says that there is no future as well as no past because what you can feel and you are feeling by the time that is only present so, you should try to know the value of a single present moment in order to live a prosperous in future because the future will be what is being done in the present. It simply means that everything that you have and do, that is all because of the present moments. The book has helped me a lot to enjoy the present moments. Moreover, This is a guid to spiritual Enlightenment, it was the best sellers on Amazon and it was also featured on the New York Times best seller list. If I don’t a lie then. The central theme of the book is the importance of living in the present and enjoying the current moments of life. He correctly points out that for all practical purposes, past and future is nowhere important as the current moment. Undoubtedly, when you read the book, you will obviously forget all the nuisances, and catastrophic situations of the past, perhaps, you stop endeavoring, dreaming, and wishing about your future willingness because you may start to fulfill them in the present. Because the author himself says that he was so depressed, sorrowful and almost was suicidal too.

But one day he suddenly became conscious and he fully became aware of the present moment then he came across from these all as well as I have become conscious and knew the power of now and from then I am enjoying the current moments because everything once is the present as like the past which one time was present and future which will be presented of there is future, as time passes. It simply means everything is now. Unfortunately to say that many of us forget to live in the present moments and always tend to repent about past and strive for success and fortune in the future. Really, in the present, we are just trying to live a prosperous life in the future. This will never be completed because as future comes it will be called by the name of present. Thus, the author quoted, that the secret of life is to ”die before you die“ — and find that there is no death. if there is a moment of happiness, that is only in this time. But in our lives people are seemed to be living in the past or in the dreams which has no reality when you have nothing to do in the present. No body denies, we always leave today’s work for tomorrow. However, we know that there is no tomorrow but some of us do not bother to understand the value of now. Thus, The author repeatedly says that your future will be made by present time and he says, living in the present is all that matters because if you do not enjoy the present moments of your lives, you can not enjoy your future as well. Really, the present is all in which everyone lives and gets success or failure. According to the writer, Our mind is the biggest enemy or friend of us because everything what we mind may matter and may not matter. Meaningfully, people think in their minds, they suffer from this or that in the future but it will not happen in the future and all they find are, false or right. Shortly to say that it is a direct motivation and self-assistant book therefore, I think it may help and motivate you. So, you shoulf at least read it oncr if you are interested in reading, which means living more in my opinion.
