Islamabad: (Parliament Times) Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front has out rightly rejected changing of domicile rules (State Subject Rules) for Jammu Kashmir by Indian rulers.
The JKLF acting chairman Abdul Hameed Butt in a press statement issued here on Thursday said, “The disputed nature of the State does not allow any foreign occupational forces to alter its State Subject Rule as the final fate of the State through free and fair exercise of right of self-determination by its inherited State Subject holders is yet to be ascertained. Thus any kind of forcible alteration in the demography of the State of Jammu Kashmir is not only unacceptable to the people of the entire State but also in contrary to the international laws and obligations”.
Terming it as undemocratic, unconstitutional and inhuman act with ulterior nefarious designs Butt said that while the whole world is engulfed in epidemic COVID-19 virus spread and hundreds of humans lose their precious lives globally on daily basis, the Indian Hindu extremist rulers led by PM Modi by the dint of their occupational forces were busy making anti-Kashmiri and anti-Muslim plots in Jammu Kashmir. “Abrogation of article 370 and 35-A by these chauvinist forces last year followed by forcible bifurcation of the State in to two so called Union Territories (UT) and then putting the entire population of the State of Jammu Kashmir in to an eight month long continued lockdown since 5th August, 2019 with the help of near about one million military
forces was actually meant to change the demography of the internationally
recognized disputed territory of Jammu Kashmir, he elaborated. The acting
chairman said that now with the change in domicile rule (State Subject Rule) in
Jammu Kashmir, the actual design of Indian rulers has come to the fore”, the
statement said. While rejecting this newly introduced
domicile law in Jammu Kashmir by New Delhi, Mr. Butt said that the entire State
of Jammu Kashmir is an indivisible single unit comprised upon near about 75,000
sq/m of area with over 20 million population and five provincial constituent
parts namely; Kashmir, Jammu, Ladakh, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan. Abdul
Hameed Butt in the statement reminded India of UNSC Resolution No. 38 of 17
January 1948 and UNSC Resolution 91 of 30 March 1951, duly signed by both India
and Pakistan that guarantees the territorial integrity of the entire disputed
State of Jammu Kashmir. While protecting the territorial integrity of Jammu
Kashmir, these resolutions clearly prescribe against any step by India or
Pakistan that would violate the principle of UN supervised free and fair
plebiscite, he added. Reiterating his party stand, acting chairman said that
any change in its political, social and demographic fabric is illegal and
unacceptable to the people of Jammu Kashmir.JKLF acting chairman while questioning the
mindset of the current Indian rulers lamented upon the illogical, immoral and
anti-human decisions they are coming with. Taking the advantage of COVID-19
lockdown, putting the entire pro-freedom leadership including thousands of
youths behind the bars and forcibly bringing in such anti-State and anti-people
laws in Jammu Kashmir by Indian rulers are actually the cowardly acts, he
expressed. With its rejection, acting chairman vowed that JKLF stands
unequivocal in its stand that the party, everywhere and at every level, with
the support of people of entire State of Jammu Kashmir shall resist this
anti-State and ant-people so called domicile law with every possible peaceful
means. In the meantime, JKLF acting chairman Abdul
Hameed Butt, on behalf of every party leader and member, has thanked
incarcerated party chairman Mr. Muhammad Yasin Malik for postponing his
proposed hunger strike in view of the current global situation due to COVID-19
spread.
