Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) Federal Government Education Institutions, Cantts and Garrison Directorate is going to acquire services of Punjab Information Technology Board for preparation of software on Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) and Schools Information System (SIS). According to spokesman Wajid Masaud, A delegation in the headship of Director Colleges Brig Dr Abdul Hameed from FGEIs (C/G) Directorate visited PITB to discuss implementation of HRMIS and SIS in FGEIs. Director General Information Technology Operations of PITB Faisal Yousaf briefed Director Colleges Brig Dr Abdul Hameed and his team about softwares. PITB also committed to extend assistance to develop Human Resource Information System and Schools Information System for 355 institutions under FGEIs (C/G) Directorate comprising 185,000 students and 13,000 employees. In order to automate Human Resource processes, a technology-based solution has to be devised. The objective of this project is to improve its efficiency through automation of manual and repetitive tasks. That will not only maintain an updated and accurate electronic repository of employees’ personal files records, transfer & posting records, inquiry details, training details, evaluations, promotions details, ACR’s, managing payrolls, retirement & pension system etc. This will also help FGEIs to reducing paper shuffling, and identify the long-term best uses of human talent by focusing the attention on more strategic roles like talent forecast, pipeline succession, and more.
