ZHOB: Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Alyani has said that Balochistan is rich in natural resources and its grievances could be addressed within its own recourses, if utilized with sincerity. Health, education and the provision of other basic needs are among the top priorities of the provincial government as per the promises made with the masses during the election.

He was speaking during his visit to Zhob on the special invitation of CM Advisor Mitha Khan Kakar here on Friday. Provincial ministers Zia Langov, Noor Muhammad Dummar, Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran, Mir Asad Baloch, Toor Utmankhail, ex-minister Dur Muhammad Nasar, Advisor to CM Muhammad Khan Lehri, Commissioner Zhob Division, Deputy Commissioner Taha Saleem, ADCR Arif Kakar, DPO Anwer Badini, Sikandar Umrani, Najam Kibzai and provincial secretaries accompanied the chief minister during his visit.

On arrival at BRC the chief minister was accorded a warm welcome by Advisor to CM Mitha Khan Kakar, provincial ministers and notables. A police contingent presented a guard of honour to CM Balochistan. Mr. Alyani visited different sections of the college, where principal BRC Dad Muhammad briefed the chief minister. CM gave away shield to the principal and prizes to position holder students.

The chief minister also inspected the under construction bus and truck stand and fruit and vegetable market. XEN Hashim Kakar briefed him about the ongoing project.

During his visit to Government Girls Degree College, the chief minister while addressing, called upon the girl students to focus on their studies and termed it the only way to success and bring Balochistan out of the crises. Keeping in mind the problems of BS students, the chief minister announced sub-campus of Sardar Bahadur Khan Women University at girls college. He also announced two new schools both for girls and boys besides the up gradation of middle schools to high. CM also inspected the completed renovation work at the historic fort ‘The Castle’.

CM Advisor Mitha Khan Kakar hosted a lunch party at his residence in Killi Wiyala in the honor of Chief Minster Alyani and presented him the traditional turban. Addressing the notables, the chief minister said that the government has approved gas plants for seventeen districts of the province including Zhob that would soon be installed in the city. He said in order to get rid of the electricity breakdown; the up gradation of feeders has been demanded.

“In order to improve the agriculture sector, the government would provide 1000 tractors to farmers under its ‘Green Tractor Programme’ for farmers and those areas lacking electricity would be provided with solar energy for irrigation,” he said.

“Around 70% of the development works have been started in the province besides 2500km highways in different parts of the province”.

He lamented that the previous governments have looted the national exchequer with both hands during their tenure and did nothing for Balochistan.
