RAWALPINDI, (Parliament Times): Special Communications Organization (SCO) largest integrated network with multiple layers of back haul connectivity in Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJ&K) and
Gilgit Baltistan (GB) and Edotco Pakistan (Pvt) Limited, leading integrated telecom infrastructure services company has entered into an understanding for development of telecom infrastructure in AJ&K and GB.
Telecom and mobile connectivity are vital for sustainable socio-economic development of Pakistan. SCO is looking forward to connect people in the remote areas of AJ&K and GB by accelerating the mobile connectivity growth and deepening the engagement with customers while driving a network and customer centric strategy. Director General, Major General Ali Farhan, HI (M), expressed his view on the occasion that “SCO shall enhance connectivity in AJ&K and GB by developing telecom infrastructure to facilitate local populous residing in un-served and under served areas of AJ&K and GB. SCO shall provide a boost to telecom technology from all angles. The objective in this regard was reaffirmed to help the end users to benefit from the digital technology”.
Speaking about the agreement Arif Hussain, Country Managing Director of Edotco Pakistan said, “SCO’s extensive footprint enables us to roll out cutting edge innovative solutions that will improve network coverage and capacity across different areas of AJ&K and GB. Our strategy has always been to partner with the key players in the industry”.
