Islamabad: (Parliament Times) The Executive Director of Islamic International Medical College – Trust, Engr. Asadullah Khan, along with Principal, Islamic International Medical College (IIMC), Lt. Gen. (R) Dr. Azhar Rashid, inaugurated the first training session on the recently installed Virtual Dissecting Table at Islamic International Medical College, Rawalpindi.
The Virtual Dissecting Table is a revolutionary 3D Training Technology by SECTRA, a global, industry leading, Medical IT Company. With this state-of-the-art equipment, IIMC students will get a chance to study-cum-practice on the most complex medical procedures, undertaking practical, problem based learning on real-life patient cases from across SECTRA’s globally partnered medical colleges and hospitals.
The Virtual Dissecting Table provides key practice and learning modules, using AI Technology in Anatomical Pathways, Cadaver Dissections, Surface Palpation, Radiology and Muscle Tissues. With an inbuilt 3D Trauma Module, IIMC students will also partake in planning and debriefing on complex, computer simulated practical concepts of Physiology and Biochemistry.
