Tangwani: Residents of village Mubarak Saharani on Wendnesday lodged a strong protest against the owners of rice mills in Kandhkot.
The participants of the protest demonstration, which was led by Ehsan Ali Merbal and others, said that due to the waste water various diseases were spreading in the area. They said, “Besides outbreak of various diseases the toxins and chemical containment waste water coming from the rice mills have rendered our lands barren”. The people of the area complained that the foul smelling waste water has made their lives miserable.
Urging the mill owners to take necessary steps to rid the people of the area from the growing menace they protesters said that if the DC failed to take any action they will knock the court against the Deputy Commissioner Kandhkot, including the mill owners.
