MUZAFFARABAD:    (Parliament Times)    Kashmiris on both sides of Cease Fire Line (CFL) and world over observed black day on Sunday against Indian illegal and forcible occupation of state of Jammu and Kashmir on 27th Oct, 1947.
In Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), rallies, demonstrations and protest gatherings were held in all small and big cities of the state under the auspices of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell, All Parties Huriyat Conference (APHC) and other religious and social organizations.
Following directives of the Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan, events to observe Black Day had been arranged by districts and tehsil administrations.
Main public gathering of the Black Day was held in the state Capital Muzaffarabad this noon.
Minister for Kashmir Affairs Ali Ameen Khan Gandapur was the Chief Guest while Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan presided over the public gathering.
Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan suggested federal government to mandate base camp government and leaders of All Parties Huriayat Conference to plead the case of Kashmiris. He said we are not against Hindus but Modi’s fascist ideology.
He elaborated that Modi’s is today’s Hitler who has not only unleashed a new wave of terror in Occupied Kashmir but also targeting civilian at Cease Fire line (CFL) which is a sheer violation of international law.
He said since 5th Augusts’ illegal steps, Modi has imposed an undeclared war on CFL and Indian troops intentionally targeting civilians. He said Pakistan’s package for Indian firing affectees at Line of Control would be implemented in true spirit. Bunkers are being constructed to save civilian from Indian firing.
He thanked Pakistani nation and its all political parties for extending unwavering support to the Kashmiris for their liberation movement.
Speaking on the Occasion, Ali Ameen Gandapur reiterated Pakistan firm resolve to support Kashmiris at all forums for realization of their just right to self determination. He said 5th August has also became a black day in the history of Kashmir when India illegally and unilaterally abrogated articles 370 and 35-A in a bid to change demography of the disputed territory.
“Over 80 lakh people are under continues curfew where worst humanitarian crises exists. People are facing acute shortage of food and medicine. No one knows how they are passing their days and nights”, Minister added.
He said it is the moral obligation of the UN to intervene and implement its resolutions otherwise it will be question mark on its very existence.
He paid rich tributes to the Kashmiris who are steadfast in their demand for UN acknowledged right to self determination for the past 72 years. Following their sacrifices and Pakistan’s commitment, we will see dawn of independence in Shah Allah.
Ali Ameen informed the gathering that a number of countries, international organizations and media have supported principled stand of Pakistan on Kashmir issue. Thus, Indian misleading narrative over situation in Occupied Kashmir has been exposed the world over.
He said a meeting of the OIC and SAARC conference would be convened to discuss current situation of Kashmir.
He again appealed UN to stop India’s state terrorism and its aggression on Cease Fire Line so as to avert war threat between the two nuclear states. Otherwise, the war will have serious consequences for the entire region.
Other speakers including member House of Lords, Lord Qurban Hussain said Kashmir is not a bilateral but international issue.
They demanded UN to devise some modalities for assisting Kashmiris in the Occupied Kashmir who are under curfew for the past 84 days.
It is pertinent to mention here that 27 members delegation comprising Pakistan’s Sikh, Christian and Hindu community also attended the main black day gathering here and condemned the illegal Indian occupation on Kashmir.
A rally was also taken out at the end of public gathering and collective prayer was also offered for the success of Kashmir liberation movement.
At the end, Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider along with the leadership of all political parties handed over a memorandum to UN Observer Mission.
