ZIARAT: Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) organized a three-day workshop under PPAF Small Grant Project at a local hotel in Ziarat district of Balochistan. Representatives from various non-governmental and non-profit organizations actively and keenly participated in the workshop. The workshop comprised PPAF’s core values, disability, video documentary, case studies, inclusive development and capacity building and Management Information System (MIS) data entry. Master trainers on the occasion shed light as per their expertise and knowledge and briefly explained the PPAF goals and achievements in the development sector. The organizations were included SHAD, DOC, AMWS, A-Mehboob Welfare, SAF, AFAC, MERC and HEEP.

According to Senior Management Officer PPAF Zahida Baloch, during the welcome remarks the participants were given briefed introduction of PPAF and its role in poverty alleviation.

Senior General Manager Institution and Integration Tahir Malik, Assistant Manager Media Communication Nazakat Hussain, master trainers Jawad Hamdani and Atif Sheikh briefed the participants and gave lectures on their respective topics. The trainers briefed the participants about PPAF’s core values and how to follow them in their respective organizational work in the next future.

“PPAF is the lead apex institution for community-driven development in the country. It works as private sector organization by providing an array of financial and non-financial services to the poorest and the marginalized rural communities across Pakistan. PPAF’s investment in developing capacities bore fruit and resulted in reducing poverty in the far-off areas of the country,” they added.

Expressing their views participants of the workshop lauded the PPAF’s active role and shared their experiences and ideas with others. At the end of the workshop Senior GM Tahir Malik and District Coordination Officer Samiullah Kakar distributed certificates among all the participants.
