RAWALPINDI: The Police on Monday has arrested a fake faith-healer (peer), involved in alleged torturing and sexual harassment of the women on the pretext of exorcism.
According to Police spokesperson, the police have received a complaint that a fake faith-healer sexually and physically harasses and exploits women on various grounds. In pursuance of the complaint the police have arrested the fake faith-healer namely Younis alias Dabba-Peer.
The Superintendent of Police (SP) – Saddar division Rai Mazhar Iqbal with reference to the accused said, it has been found that, the women who came to him regarding exorcism, he used to commit inappropriate actions and sexual harassment by touching their different body parts, while resorting to physically torturing them as well, on the pretext of extracting “spirits” out of their body as a matter of routine, said the SP.
The Police have registered the case against the accused while considering the affected women as plaintiffs. The CPO Rawalpindi said that the accused like the one who has been arrested are very dangerous to the society because of their ignorance and their state of being fake and deceptive; the arrest of the anti-social elements like him is one of the biggest, prominent and greatest achievement to the credit of Rawalpindi Police.
“We have to arrest the entire gang of this fake faith-healer, his facilitators along with all of his fake followers and criminal devotees who used to commit fraud on the behest of this fake peer”, he further directed.
Meanwhile, the arrest of fake Pir Younis alias Dabba Pir has become the top trend on social media with regards to the success and progress of Rawalpindi police.
The Women rights activists congratulated CPO Rawalpindi DIG Mohammad Faisal Rana over the arrest of the fake faith-healer.
