ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has rejected petition challenging the appointment of Shabbar Zaidi as chairman FBR declaring it non maintainable.
A two members bench of IHC presided over by Chief Justice Athar Minallah took up the case for hearing Thursday.
The chief justice remarked “. It is general impression among the people that economy is passing through hard phase. In such circumstance judiciary will not interfere in the powers of executive.
The court maintained this matter should be raised in the parliament . Parliament is the best forum for such matters. If the court nullifies this appointment then the blame will come on court. The court cannot take the burden of national economy.
The court dismissed the petition declaring it non maintainable.
