India provides water data to Pakistan Indus Water Commissioner


LAHORE:    India has provided water data to Pakistan Indus Water Commissioner.

First contact has been made between Pakistan and Indian during the possible flood situation in Pakistan.

Both Pakistan and Indian water commissioners talked on sharing water data and following this talk India provided water data to Pakistan.

Sources said as per data India has released 24000 cusecs water in river Sutlej so far. Water flow at Hareeke barrage and Feeroze Pur barrage in India has been recorded 100000 cusecs.

Sources said that it is binding on India under Indus Water Treaty to inform Pakistan before releasing water in Pakistan rivers.
India has diverted big water flows to Pakistan due to which flood is feared to come in Pakistani rivers.
