LAHORE: United Business Group (UBG) central chairman
Iftikhar Ali Malik Tuesday, welcoming an extension in the tenure of Army
Chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa for another three years, said Bajwa had boosted
the morale of the army, stood up to external threats and successfully
carried out the war against terrorism.
In a statement issued here today, Iftikhar Malik said Qamar Javed Bajwa
leadership, integrity and patriotism is critical at this crucial juncture
when Pakistan is facing a grave crisis in Kashmir. “The whole nation can
feel comfortable that leadership of our armed forces is in good hands,” he
added.
He further said Prime Minister Imran Khan must have thought that the
situation right now demands that the most important member of his team, the
army chief, is not changed. “In an extraordinary situation, extraordinary
decisions need to be taken,” he added.
