London: UK Pakistan Investment Conference 2019 has paved a roadmap for exploring new avenues of trade and economic development, business promotion, investment and enhancing bilateral economic activities between Pakistan and United Kingdom. This was stated by Deputy Chairman Senate of Pakistan Mr. Saleem Mandiwalala while addressing the participants of conference in London on Friday. Ambassador of High Commission of Pakistan Muhammd Nafees Zikria, notables of Corporate Business, diplomats, financial experts attended the conference.
Mr. Saleem Mandviwalla said that investment is very sensitive matter and required to pay full concentration that who and where is being invested and there is very conducive environment in Pakistan to invest in different sectors. He said that after the 18th Amendment, there are adequate opportunities in all Provinces of Pakistan for investors and investors can invest in keeping in mind the business potential and facilitations. He said there are so many investment banks, advisors, consultants and experts in Pakistan besides Chamber of Commerce and they can extend all possible help to the investors.
Spokesman to Prime Minister of Pakistan for Investment and Trade to UK & Europe Sahibzada Jahangir talking the participants of UK Pakistan Investment Conference 2019 said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has opened the doors for foreign investment for the entire world and investors should come forward and avail the consumer market of four billion people and get benefit of their production and services. He said Pakistan is an emerging market for investors and industrialists and they would feel honor and pride to develop business relations with Pakistan and promote mutual benefits. Other prominent speakers also spoke on the occasion.
Chairman Birmingham Chamber of Commerce Dr. Nasir Awan, Chairman and CEO, Pak World, CEO, Pakistan Peace Collective Project former Secretary Information Shabir Anwar, Chairman British Muslim Foundation Suleman Raza, President LSESU, Arif Anis Malik spoke about the business opportunities and avenues of bilateral trade and policies and regulations of UK government and stressed for initiating new projects besides promoting entrepreneurs. They said that there are huge projects of foreign investment in Pakistan and government has provided enabling environment to attract investors to initiate project in energy, industrial, tourism, educational and other sectors. The High Commissioner of Pakistan in UK said that Pakistan High Commission can be contacted for seeking all sort of information and data about the investment in different industrial zones of Pakistan and lucrative incentives had been offered to foreign investors which can been benefitted accordingly. Mr. Nafees said that women had equal opportunities to excel in business and hey can establish their own businesses by taking advantages of facilities being extended by Pakistan Government.
Mr. Khursheed Barlas speaking on the occasion said that Pak World Trade Center with coordination with partner organizations trying its best to extend all kind of information and procedures to expand businesses.
