Islamabad: (Parliament Times) According to a press release issued by the IESCO spokesperson, the inevitable
maintenance of the power transformer at the NTDC 500 KV New Rawat grid station is under
process, which will be completed by August 8. Due to system overloading during maintenance
of the power transformer, Load management is being carried out in different areas of
Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Jhelum and Chakwal Circle of IESCO.
Various sources are giving it the name of load shedding which is not exactly correct, the
power is available according to the demand of IESCO and after the maintenance of power
transformer, uninterrupted supply of electricity to all areas of IESCO will be started as past.
The ongoing work on NTDC's grid station and the ongoing load management was
communicated to reputable users through newspapers, TV channels and announcements; the
IESCO administration apologies on this inconvenience.
