RAWALPINDI: (Parliament Times) Deputy Commissioner and Chairman Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) Ch Muhammad Ali Randhawa has directed the RWMC and other concerning departments to ensure best cleanliness arrangement during Eidul Azha. He said animal waste should be dumped properly immediately and an effective system should be made to resolve complaints immediately.
He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting at the DC Office. ADC Maleeha Jamal, Director Local Government Awais Tarrar, senior officers of RWMC and sector in-charges attended the meeting. He said Section 144 has been imposed to ban openly burning of heads and feet of sacrificial animals and dumping of animal waste in nullah and drains, and strict legal action will be taken against violators. He said he will personally visit various parts of the city to monitor cleanliness arrangements.
