ISLAMABAD: (Parliament Times) Anti Narcotics Force Pakistan seized 2.14 Ton Narcotics valuing Rs. 3.32 Billion internationally,
arrested 40 culprits including 4 ladies & Foreigner and impounded 9 vehicles while conducting 32
counter-narcotic strikes. The seized drugs comprised of 1975.695 Kg Hashish, 62.175 Kg Heroin,
104.45 Kg Opium, 4.338 Kg Methamphetamine (Ice), 3700 x Xanax Tablets, 50 x Ecstasy Tablets and
1.4 Kg Weed.
As per details, ANF Quetta recovered 13 Kg Hashish from general area of Army Prove Ranges
Sonmiani near Hub, District Lasbela. In another operation, ANF Quetta conducted an intelligence
based raid at general area of Killi Inayat Ullah Kariz, Tehsil Gulistan, District Qilla Abdullah and
recovered 1800 Kg Hashish. As per preliminary reports, drug was placed for handing over to another
narcotics gang for further transportation.
ANF Rawalpindi intercepted Toyota Corolla car near Motorway Toll Plaza, Islamabad, during
search of the vehicle recovered 30 Kg Hashish and 28.8 Kg Opium from secret cavities of the said
vehicle. Two persons onboard namely Imran butt and Ghayour Aziz both residents of Gujranwala were
arrested during the operation. In another operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused namely
Waqar Ahmed resident of Attock and recovered 1.020 Kg Hashish from his personal possession. He
was arrested near Water Pump, Gilgit. In third operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted Suzuki Pickup
near Motorway Toll Plaza, Islamabad and recovered 24 Kg Heroin, which was tactfully concealed in
secret cavities of the said vehicle. Resultantly an accused namely Hamid Raza resident of Peshawar
was arrested on the spot. In fourth operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted Suzuki WagnoR car near
Motorway Toll Plaza, Islamabad and recovered 48 Kg Opium from secret cavities of the said vehicle.
Two persons onboard namely Nasir Siddique resident of Lahore and Ghulam Abbas resident of Multan
were arrested during the operation. In fifth operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a motorcycle near
Ghosia Chowk, Talli Mori Road, Rawalpindi and recovered 1.2 Kg Opium and 50 x Ecstasy Tablets
(weighing 14 Gram) from personal possession of the arrested accused namely Muhammad Zarwan
resident of Rawalpindi. In sixth operation, ANF Rawalpindi recovered 1.2 Kg Opium from personal
possession of the arrested accused namely Syed Muhammad Jawad Naqvi resident of Rawalpindi. He
was arrested near Noorani Mohallah, Mughal Abad, Rawalpindi. In seventh operation, ANF Rawalpindi
arrested a lady accused namely Humaira Naveed resident of Lahore and recovered 6.5 Kg Heroin from
her personal possession. She was arrested near Chungi Number 26, Bus Stop, Islamabad. In eighth
operation, ANF Peshawar arrested two lady accused namely Sakina and Nasreen both residents of
Khyber Agency and recovered 9 Kg Hashish form their personal possession. Both were arrested near
Tarkai Toll Plaza, Sohawa, Jehlum. In ninth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused namely
Muhammad Adnan resident of Sheikhupura at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 7.850 Kg
Heroin which was concealed in his trolley bag. He was boarding for KSA through Flight No WY-346. In
tenth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused namely Shahzad Waheed and a lady accomplice
namely Shakeela Begum both residents of Hangu and recovered 4.8 Kg Hashish from their personal
possession. They were arrested near Chungi Number 26 Bus Stop, Islamabad. In eleventh operation,
ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Toyota Corolla Car at Chungi Number 26 Bus Stop, Islamabad and
recovered 1.2 Kg Hashish and 150 Gram Heroin from secret cavities of the said vehicle. Two persons
onboard namely Hussain Akbar resident of Peshawar and Rasool Abad resident of Khyber Agency
were arrested during the operation. In twelfth operation, ANF Rawalpindi recovered 5 Kg Heroin from
personal possession of the two arrested accused persons namely Noor Zaib & Sadam Hussain both
residents of Swat. They were arrested near Chungi Number 26 Bus Stop, Islamabad. In thirteenth
operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested a Nigerian National namely Macdonald Okolo near Mini Park,
Street No 38, G-10/4, Islamabad and recovered 1.4 Kg Weed from his shoulder bag.
ANF Lahore arrested a motorcycle near Railway Crossing Seven Up Pull, Cavalry Road, Lahore
and recovered 2 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the arrested accused namely Muhammad
Amjad resident of Lahore. In another operation, ANF Lahore arrested an accused namely Muhammad
Ali Khan resident of Laki Marwat at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore and recovered 2140 x
Xanan Tablets (weighing 274 Gram) which was concealed in his bag. On pointation of the arrested
accused ANF Lahore arrested another accused namely Hakeem Ullah Khan resident of Bannu and
recovered 1560 x Xanax Tablets (weighing 200 Gram) from his personal possession. He was arrested
from drop line of Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore. In third operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a
Suzuki Swift Car near Motorway Toll Plaza Shorkot, District Jhang and recovered 3 Kg Heroin from the
vehicle. A person onboard namely Lal Badshah resident of Khyber Agency was arrested during the
operation. In fourth operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Toyota Corolla Car near Sahianwala
Motorway Toll Plaza, Faisalabad and recovered 17.250 Kg Opium and 32.4 Kg Hashish from the
seized vehicle. Three persons onboard namely Azmat Hussain resident of Kohat and Abdul Gani, Bilal
Ahmed both residents of Khyber Agency were arrested during the operation.
ANF Peshawar intercepted a Toyota Corolla Car near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar and
recovered 7 Kg Heroin which was tactfully concealed in doors of the said vehicle. Two persons onboard
namely Akhtar Nazim and Razmat Shah both residents of Khyber Agency were arrested during the
operation. In another operation, ANF Peshawar arrested an accused namely Amad Zeb resident of
Abbottabad and recovered 1.2 Kg Hashish from his personal possession. He was arrested from a
passenger van near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar. In third operation, ANF Peshawar arrested an
accused namely Syed Umair Shah resident of Peshawar from passenger van near Motorway Toll
Plaza, Peshawar and recovered 1 Kg Hashish from his personal possession. In fourth operation, ANF
Peshawar arrested an accused namely Noor Islam resident of Swabi at Peshawar International Airport
and recovered 2.450 Kg Methamphetamine (Ice) which was concealed in the bottom of his trolley bag.
He was boarding for Riyadh (via Dubai) through Flight No EK-637. In fifth operation, ANF Peshawar
arrested an accused identified as Khyber Gul resident of Khyber Agency and recovered 2.4 Kg Hashish
from his personal possession. He was arrested near Motorway Toll Plaza Peshawar form a passenger
van. In sixth operation, ANF Peshawar arrested an accused person namely Khial Din resident of
Khyber Agency at Peshawar International Airport and recovered 972 Gram Methamphetamine (Ice)
which was tactfully concealed in green tea packets placed in his luggage. He was boarding for Bahrain
through Flight No GF-787. In seventh operation, ANF Peshawar in collaboration with FC Khyber Rifle
conducted raid near Ali Mosque, Khyber Agency and recovered 8 Kg Opium and 7 Kg Heroin from
personal possession of the two arrested accused persons namely Gul Zaman and Fateh Khan both
residents of Khyber Agency. In eighth operation, ANF Peshawar arrested an accused namely Sharif
Khan resident of Hangu at Peshawar International Airport, who was travelling to Qatar through Flight
No QR-601 and recovered 916 Gram Methamphetamine (Ice) and 1.675 Kg Heroin which was tactfully
concealed in packed clothes. In ninth operation, ANF Peshawar arrested an accused namely Zahid
Khan resident of bannu at Peshawar International Airport and recovered 1.075 Kg Hashish which was
concealed in bundle of clothes. He was boarding for Abu Dhabi through Flight No PA-630. In tenth
operation, ANF Peshawar arrested an accused namely Sher Afzal resident of Tank and recovered 500
Gram Hashish from his personal possession. He was arrested near Gomal University, Indus Highway,
DI Khan.
ANF Karachi conducted a raid at Main Jetti, Ibrahim Hyderi, Korangi, Karachi and recovered 18
Kg Hashish kept in Nylon Bag. In another operation, ANF Karachi conducted a raid near 3 Star General
Store, Block-I, Shireen Jinnah Colony, Karachi and recovered 500 Gram Hashish from personal
possession of the arrested accused namely Moazzam Ali resident of Karachi. In third operation, ANF
Karachi arrested an accused person namely Abdullah resident of Quetta and recovered 57.6 Kg
Hashish from his personal possession. He was arrested near Yousaf Goth Bus Terminal, Karachi.
All cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations under CNS Act 1997 and
further investigations are underway.
