RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Police on Friday has arrested Sardar Farrukh, the front-man of criminal groups involved in illegal occupation of properties worth crores. Accused was wanted by police in several cases of properties’ occupation.

According to details, PS Chauntra of Rawalpindi Police while taking action against land mafia has arrested the accused Sardar Farrukh.

SP Saddar Division Rai Mazhar Iqbal informed that the arrested Sardar Farrukh is the frontman of qabza mafia. There are verified complaints against him that for his role in having people’s properties worth crores illegally occupied through occupation mafia criminals.

The accused had a fixed rate of a canal land occupancy around 15 to 20 thousand rupees, while for the expensive land, his rate would also be increased in millions. The accused had formed proper gangs, that operated with different names in Rawalpindi, Islamabad and other areas to illegally seize and occupy properties, police have claimed.
