ANF seized 101 kg drugs in 28 operations

Rawlapindi: Anti Narcotics Force Pakistan seized 101 Kg Narcotics valuing Rs. 363 Million internationally, arrested 31 culprits including 2 ladies and impounded 4 vehicles while conducting 28 counter-narcotic strikes. The seized drugs comprised of 79.06 Kg Hashish, 15.185 Kg Heroin, 3.166 Kg Amphetamine (Ice), 3.082 Kg Methamphetamine (Ice) and 1 Kg Opium.

As per details, ANF Quetta intercepted a troller at main Kuchlak Road, near Byco Petrol Pump, Quetta and recovered 60 Kg Hashish from secret cavities of the said vehicle. A person on board namely Mati Ullah resident of Pishin was arrested on the spot.

ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Suzuki Mehran car near Tarkai Toll Plaza, main GT Road, Jehlum and recovered 2.4 Kg Hashish which was concealed under the driving seat of the said vehicle. Two persons on board namely Muhammad Asif resident of Khyber Agency and Taous Khan resident of Peshawar were arrested. In another operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused person namely Muhammad Saqib Khan resident of Mirpur (AJK) at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 860 gram Heroin which was tactfully concealed in hair spray bottles placed in his bag. He was boarding for UK through Flight No PA-791. In third operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested two accused persons identified as Hazrat Umar and Rahat Sher both residents of Khyber Agency and recovered 2.5 Kg Hashish from their personal possession. They were arrested near Tarkai Toll Plaza, main GT Road, Jehlum. In fourth operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Suzuki FX car near Dina Bus Stop, main GT Road, Jehlum and recovered 1 Kg Heroin and 600 gram Hashish which was concealed under the driving seat of the said vehicle. Resultantly two accused on board namely Muhammad Tanveer and Abdul Rasheed both residents of Rawalpindi were arrested during the operation. In fifth operation, ANF Rawalpindi recovered 1.25 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the arrested accused identified as Ashfaq Ali resident of Swabi. He was arrested near Chakwal Morr, Jehlum. In sixth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested two accused persons at Islamabad International Airport identified Muhammad Saqib and Jameel Akhtar both residents of Attock and recovered 1.380 Kg Amphetamine (Ice) from their personal possession. Both were travelling to Jeddah through Flight No EY-232. In seventh operation, on suspicion of narco filled capsules ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused namely Muhammad Idrees resident of Kurram Agency at Islamabad International Airport. Further he was admitted in hospital where he delivered 122x Heroin filled Capsules (weighing 800 gram). The arrested accused was proceeding to Jeddah through Flight No SV-723. In eighth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused namely Zarab Ali resident of Swabi at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 730 Kg Amphetamine (Ice) which was soaked in Ihram. He was boarding for Muscat through flight no WY-348. In ninth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused namely Waseem Gul resident of Kohat at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 1.056 Kg Amphetamine (Ice) with packing material from his bag. He was travelling to Jeddah by flight no PA-270.

ANF Lahore arrested an accused person namely Ijaz Ali resident of Swabi at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore and recovered 970 gram Methamphetamine (Ice) from his bag. He was boarding for Jeddah through Flight No PA-470. In another operation, ANF Lahore recovered 8.555 Kg Heroin from vacuum Tank of 68 Down goods train at Lahore Railways Station. In third operation, ANF Lahore arrested an accused person namely Muhammad Anwar resident of Swat at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore and recovered 820 gram Methamphetamine (Ice) which was tactfully concealed in his bag. He was boarding for Jeddah through Flight No PA-470. In fourth operation, ANF Lahore arrested two lady accused namely Tasleem Bibi and Najma Bibi both residents of Muzaffargarh and recovered 800 gram Heroin from their personal possession. Both were arrested near Post Graduate College, Multan Road, Muzaffargarh. In fifth operation, ANF Lahore recovered 500 gram Heroin from personal possession of the arrested accused namely Muhammad Liaquat resident of Muzaffargarh. He was arrested near Misali Zakrya Secondary School, Alipur Muzaffargarh. In sixth operation, ANF Lahore recovered 1.010 Kg Heroin from personal possession of the arrested accused person namely Rashid Ali resident of Sialkot. He was arrested near Lasani Pillo, Sargodha Road Faisalabad.

ANF Peshawar conducted seven separate operation near Motorway Toll Plaza Peshawar an arrested eight accused persons identified as Kamran Khan resident of Charsadda, Musa & Wali residents of Khyber Agency, Mujeeb ur Rehman resident of Peshawar, Abdul Ghafar resident of Faisalabad, Muhammad Irfan resident of Sialkot, Sadaqat resident of Khyber Agency and Manzoor Illahi resident of Chakwal and recovered a total of 6.2 Kg Hashish, 1 Kg Opium and 730 gram Heroin from all of them. All were arrested from passenger vans. In another operation, ANF Peshawar arrested Muhammad Raziq resident of Hangu at Peshawar International Airport and recovered 1.010 Kg Hashish which was tactfully concealed in Soap & Shampoo bottle placed in his bag. He was travelling to Doha through Flight No QR-601.

ANF Karachi intercepted a motorcycle at Eid Gah road, Leyari, Karachi and recovered 3 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the arrested accused identified as Ishtiaque Ahmed resident of Karachi. In another operation, ANF Karachi intercepted a UK bound parcel from a private courier office located at Karachi and recovered 930 gram Heroin which was concealed in 70x child jackets. Parcel was booked from Rahim Yar Khan. In third operation, ANF Karachi arrested an accused namely Rooh ul Amin resident of Charsadda at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi and recovered 1.292 Kg Methamphetamine (Ice) which was tactfully concealed in plastic plates. He was travelling to Jeddah via Bahrain through Flight No GF-0753. In fourth operation, ANF Karachi raided near Bangish Hotel, Nazimabad No 2, Karachi and recovered 2.5 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the arrested accused.

All cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations under CNS Act 1997 and further investigations are underway.
