Rawalpindi: A 6-day anti-polio campaign will be launched in 5 Tehsils of district Rawalpindi from June 17.
Training of field staff has been started after completing anti-polio drive schedule.
Overall 7, 31,122 children will be administered polio drops during this campaign.
Just before environmental samples taken by World Health Organization (WHO), it has been confirmed that there is no polio virus present in district Rawalpindi.
173 medical officers, 444 area incharge, 2031 mobile teams, 241 fixed centre, 84 transit camp will be included in the schedule who administer polio drops to children.
Chief Executive District health authority Dr Rashid Khan has said that quality assessment survey will also be conducted after completion of anti-polio drive.
He said field staff is performing their job well regarding administering polio drops to children due to which we are getting better results.
