ABU DHABI:     National Universities Consortium delegate participated in The Asia Universities Summit, Abu
Dhabi as Special Guest Delegate. The Times Higher Education Asia Universities Summit took
place from 30 April-2 May 2019 in Al Khalifa University Abu Dhabi UAE. The summit united
leaders of Asia’s best institutions with industry executives, policymakers and star
researchers for three days of debate and discussion that addressed challenges and framed
the agenda for group, highlighting the importance of inter-Asian partnerships as the vital
networks in the region. Prof. Dr. Ayesha Zahid from Superior University (Lahore) led the
Consortium to this important continental summit. She highlighted the impressive progress
made by Pakistani universities in last couple of years, exchanged ideas with delegates from
different top Asian universities and extended hand of cooperation for multilateral and
global development. The Consortium aims to internationalize Pakistani science and
technology sector by bringing all major global agencies under the guiding partnership of HEC
and current all-inclusive liberal regime. President, Prof. Dr. Idrees A. Nasir and convener of
the Consortium Shafique Ahmed Awan congratulated Dr Ayesha on successfully
representing Pakistan at the regional event.
