MUZAFFARABAD: (Parliament Times) The Pearl Development Authority held its meeting chaired by Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan here on Thursday.
The meeting was attended by finance secretary Farid Tarar, principal secretary to Prime Minister Irshad Qureshi, secretary housing and physical planning Sharif Dar, secretary forests Dr. Shehla Waqar, chairman PDA Sardar Farhad Ali Khan and others.
Addressing the meeting Prime Minister said parks would be constructed in Rawalakot city to facilitate the citizens. Additional funds would be set aside in the next budget for beautification and widening of roads of Rawalakot, he added.
The Premier was of the view that Poonch was most suitable for international tourism. He said fly overs would be constructed to reduce the traffic pressure in the city. He said government would provide all the necessary resources for beautification of Rawalakot, widening of its roads, and its cleanliness.
On this occasion Mr. Haider also sought feasibility report of construction of fly over in the city. He reassured that Rawalakot would be turned into hub of national and international tourism. Construction and widening of Khaigala-Tolipeer and Tolipeer to Lasdanna road would provide better travelling facilities to tourists up to picturesque Tolipeer and Lasdanna, he remarked. He added that government aims at fully exploiting tourism potential to turn the state to self-reliance.
