LAHORE:  (Parliament Times)     Pakistan’s most nutritious and delicious flavored milk Flava recently announced its sponsorship of the T20 cricket event, Deaf Super League (DSL) which took place in Lahore from April 15th to April 19th, 2019. Flava has always been proactive in its role of promoting sports in the country and actively seeks out platforms that help nurture and enable players aspiring to participate in domestic and international tournaments.

Sharing his thoughts on the sponsorship, Head of Marketing of Haleeb Foods, Sami Qahar stated, “Flava is the proud partner of Pakistan’s first ever Deaf Super League 2019. I’d like to congratulate the managing team of DSL for putting up such a memorable and eventful tournament.” Appreciating the valiant display of sportsmanship by all the participants, he said that “Flava’s core belief of empowering individuals through sports resonates strongly with the Deaf Super League. These kinds of events should be held more often to encourage the strengths of people who know that they can achieve anything and work hard in changing the perceptions of disability in the country and beyond.”

Expressing his opinion about the tournament, President Deaf Super League, Irfan Miraj said, “Through this partnership with DSL, Flava has not only demonstrated its close affinity with the national aspirations of the Pakistani people, but also taken huge step in supporting DSL in its efforts towards embedding Pakistan with inclusiveness and acceptance for people who are differently-abled.”

The six teams that took part in the exciting 5 day tournament were Pakhtoons Peshawar, Riders Islamabad, Tigers Lahore, Sultan Multan, Bravos Quetta and Kings Karachi. Flava ensured that the players remained energized and refreshed as nutritious and delicious flavored milk was available to them at all times. The DSL was played in Model Town Cricket Grounds, and the finale was held in the Gymkhana Cricket Ground. The Kings Karachi team emerged as champions of the Deaf Super League 2019.
