MUZAFFARABAD: (Parliament Times)       The AJK government would set up mobile food testing laboratories in the next financial year’s budget.

This was told in a high level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan here on Tuesday.

The AJK government has decided to ban all the food items which were banned by Punjab Food Authority and take action against those involved in selling them in the territory of the State.

The meeting also decided to improve the quality of flour in AJK and provide required resources for its future needs.

Addressing the meeting Prime Minister said no one would be allowed to play with the lives of people through selling substandard food materials. He directed the concerned officials to submit a report within a week ensuring that all the banned food items would not be procured or sold in AJK.

The premier told the meeting that during the current financial year government paid 78 rupees per 40 kg bag which costed government 30 crore rupees. He claimed the standard of flour was better than before.

Mr. Haider directed the officials to ensure special checking of standard of daily use commodities during the month of Ramazan. Neither any one should be treated unfairly nor given concession in this regard, he instructed.
