Mirpur: (Parliament Times) AJ&K Prime Minister Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan said his government took tough decisions for supremacy of law, provision of justice and improvement of the system in AJ&K, in which we remained successful.
He was addressing the Oath taking ceremony of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Supreme Court Bar Association here on Friday as a chief guest.
Chief Justice of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Supreme Court Choudhry Ibraheem Zia presided over the function while president Supreme Court Bar Raja Ina’am Ullah Khan advocate, Secretary General Tariq Bashir Raja advocate and former secretary Mian Sultan advocate were amongst the other speakers.
Senior judge of the Supreme Court Raja Saeed Akram Khan, senior minister Choudhry Tariq Farooq, ministers Choudhry Rukhsar Ahmad, Syed Shaukat Shah, Advocate General Sardar KD Khan,president High Court Bar Association Raja Khalid Mehmood Khan advocate,Chief Prosecutor Accountability Bureau Sardar Amjad Aslam,Director General Information Raja Azhar Iqbal,DG MDA Ejaz Raza,Administrator Municipal Corporation Mirza Tahir Mehmood,Administrator District Council Choudhry Abdul Maalik,former Chief Justice Justice Muhammad Azam Khan, president district Bar Association Tariq Bashir Choudhry and other prominent personalities were also present in the ceremony.
While addressing the ceremony Prime Minister said that government has taken tough decisions for the provision of justice, made the government more dignified by passing the thirteenth amendment in Act of 74. Further space is there for more amendments in the constitution, he added.
Prime Minister said the incumbent government empowered the state institutions along with increasing the governmental resources.
Government is not running on overdraft as we have enhanced our resources and improved the tax collection, he said.
“ Now the State resources are being spent on the betterment of the people,” he said.
He said we have a better judicial system then Pakistan.
The government was utilizing its resources for the construction of new buildings for the judiciary, impose of new judiciary policy and provision of justice, he added.
He said Mirpur is the city of affectees and the issues of the affectees would be resolved.
He asked the Bar Associations to hold conferences on Kashmir, the government will assist them in this regard.
He said, he visited the areas along the LoC and met with the affected persons by Indian firing, their morale is high. He said we also expressed solidarity with our brave army.
