FATEHPUR THAKIALA: (Parliament Times) The Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan says Indian forces are committing war crimes by targeting the civilian population living close to border.
Addressing a public meeting at Fatehpur Thakiala on Friday he lauded the courage of people who braved the Indian forces brutalities from across the LoC and were not demoralized or left their homes and hearths. India could not shatter the confidence of people living at LoC despite a string of unprovoked and indiscriminate firing, he observed. He asked the international community to take notice of violations of Indian forces.
He told the people that his government was channelizing all the resources for rehabilitation of people who were affected by the firing. He said Indian forces made several abortive attempts to push back the people living near LoC but they remained resistant to the Indian atrocities. These people he said were the first defense line for us.
He said all nefarious attempts of Narendra Modi failed as armed forces of Pakistan gave a strong response to Indian aggression. Civilians were also standing behind the armed forces to defend their motherland, he added.
“A special package amounting to 5 billion rupees has been sent to federal government to address the problems of people living close to the border” he said. It would be spent on water supply, reconditioning of roads, bunkers and other basic amenities to the people, he stated.
He said in emergency 10 million rupees are being provided to each constituency at LoC. Funds are being provided for ambulances and community bunkers for the people at LoC, he remarked. He said special funds would be set aside for health, education and infrastructure in the next fiscal year’s budget. He said his constituency was also along the LoC so he realizes well about the difficulties and problems of the people living there.
He said Fatehpur Thakiala was most hit by Indian firing of all the regions in AJK.
Ministers Mushtaq Ahmed Minhas, Sardar Farooq Sikandar, Chaudhry Muhammad Aziz and former minister Sardar Muhammad Naeem also addressed on the occasion.
Later the Prime Minister also addressed a public meeting at Charohi. He met with the party workers including Raja Muhammad Iqbal and leader youth wing Raja Rizwan Qayyum.
