ISLAMABAD: (Parliament Times) The former Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi called on AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan here on Thursday.
Both the leaders exchanged views on latest situation obtaining in Occupied Kashmir, massive human rights abuses committed by Indian forces against innocent people of Kashmir. They denounced string of unprovoked shelling from across the LoC by Indian forces targeting the civilian population of Azad Kashmir living close to border.
Mr. Haider said Abbasi was one of the committed leaders and close friend of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He carried forward vision of Sharif in difficult circumstances, he added. He said people of AJK are thankful to them for approving 13thamendment. Sharif resolved a number of problems faced to AJK government, he remarked.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said central leadership of PML-N government had great confidence in the government of Raja Farooq Haider Khan. He said Sharif doubled the development budget of AJK and announced a number of mega development projects. He said his (Abbasi) constituency is located close to AJK it was why he was pretty aware of what was happening in the State. AJK Information Minister Mushtaq Minhas and Civil Defense Minister Ahmed Raza Qadri were also present on the occasion.
