LAHORE: Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said nation should not stage protest on March 23 but it should celebrate Pakistan day with enthusiasm and fervor.
In his message from Kot Lakhpat prison he has said that the PML-N workers should not demonstrate protest outside Kot Lakhpat prison but they should celebrate Pakistan day in their respective areas.
He asked them to respect the directives of party high command and party discipline before taking any decision of any kind.
“I have come to know that the workers being worried over my health condition want to assemble outside Kot Lakhpat jail to give vent to their sentiments. Perhaps they want to arrange some protest outside to raise their voice in support of me. I respect the sentiments of my lovers. I appeal to all of you not to lose patience. I have no taint of corruption, therefore, I expressed full trust on law and justice system of my country. I prefer national interest to my personal and political interests, he remarked.
