    Zong 4G and Blue East join forces for IoT Ecosystem development

    Islamabad: Pakistan No.1 Data Network Zong 4G and Largest IoT company of Pakistan BlueEast, a subsidiary of Orient Group of companies, today announced their joint venture for the development of an ecosystem for Internet of Things (IoT). This partnership will contribute towards innovation and digitization across the country through deployment of IoT solution.

    The MoU and contract signing ceremony was held in the presence of Zong 4G’s Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Li Wenyu, and Chief Executive Officer, BlueEast and Director Sales and Marketing, Orient Group of Companies, Mian Abdul Rehman Talat, along with management of both companies.

    Combining the industry expertise of Blue East and professional services capabilities of Zong 4G, Pakistan’s No.1 Data Network, the technological prowess of Worlds’ Largest Telecommunication Network, China Mobile and Pakistan’s Largest IoT solution development company, the partnership will accelerate the development of novel and customized solutions for enterprises.

    Underpinned by Zong4G’s deep industry expertise and state-of-the-art connectivity, the venture will provide tailored- solutions for enterprises to meet their goals and improve their efficiencies across the board. The initial phase of this partnership will enable internet connectivity on 20,000 existing multi brand air conditioners in the corporate sector.

    E-comfort technology, by BlueEast, is a suite of Artificial Intelligence systems using machine learning algorithms that learn consumer behavior along with performance of the appliances to save electricity while maintaining comfort for the users.

This collaboration will further our ambition of building a highway for M2M connectivity and providing IoT solutions to our customers. “Said the spokesperson of Zong 4G.

    Speaking at the occasion at the occasion, Mr. Talat said, “This joint venture is a major milestone in our journey of transforming Orient Group of Companies into a technology business from consumer electronics. This technology will provide savings of over PKR 30,000 per air conditioner annually by using patented the E-comfort technology from BlueEast, therefore ensuring savings of over PKR 600 million in 2019, on the electricity bills to the corporate sector in Pakistan, while reducing their energy consumption by approximately 17 percent. The deployments of E-comfort technology will help reduce the excess load, Pakistan’s national energy grid experiences during the peak summer season.”
