Frontier Corps Balochistan holds free medical camp in poverty-hit area

ZHOB: As a goodwill gesture to provide health services to less-privileged communities at their doorstep, Frontier Corps Balochistan (North) set up a day-long free medical camp in remote and poverty-hit area Khadozai here.

On the special directives of Inspector General of Frontier Corps (North) Major General Syed Fayyaz Hussain Shah, supervised by Commandant Zhob Militia Col. Tahir Bashir, 70 Wing of Zhob Militia organized a free medical camp in Toda Khadozai area of the district, where over one thousand poor and deserving patients were treated free of cost.

Commandant ZM, Commander 70 Wing, DHO Dr. Muzzafar Shah, DSM PPHI Syed Aman Shah and District Coordinator Malaria Control Program BRSP Quttab Mandokhail visited the camp and inspected the facilities.

According to the officials, medical team examined 1168 patients including 398 male patients, 375 female patients and 395 children suffering from various diseases. Medical staff also carried out diagnostic tests and provided them free medicines. BRSP provided Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) kits and malaria medicines for the camp. Children were also administered anti-polio drops.

Talking to correspondent Rafiullah Mandokhail, Col. Tahir Bashir said that free medical camp was being setup to facilitate the poor and unfortunate population.

“Free medical camp in an area that lacks basic facilities would not only ensure standard health care to the people at their doorstep but would also overcome health issues and control several chronic and seasonal diseases.” He hoped. Meanwhile, Commandant also distributed school stationary and gifts among the children.
