WASHINGTON: US have acknowledged for doing a private diplomacy for de-escalation of tension between Pakistan and India.
US State Department Deputy Spokesperson Robert Palladino told the media men during a press briefing that tension had lowered in the backdrop of contacts made by US secretary of state Mike Pompeo. US embassies in Pakistan and India are in contact with both of the countries.
Palladino has called for direct contracts between Pakistan and India for defusing the situation.
He cautioned that further military activity between the two countries will compound the situation. Steps will be continued to lower tension between Pakistan and India.
It is pertinent to mention here that US president Trump while extending offer to play his role for cessation of prevailing tense situation between the two countries had said that he was ready to help both the countries to end their decades long conflict.
