Govt should not commit mistake of passing budget without resolving Vawda matter: Khurshid Shah

ISLAMABAD: Former opposition leader in National Assembly and PPP senior leader Khurshid Shah has said government should not commit mistake of passing budget without resolving the issue of Faisal Vawda.

He said this while talking to media men here Wednesday..

Shah held power rests with parliament only. Our unity is under discussion in India. Will the unity stay after this war, he questioned. Maintaining the unity is must in the prevailing situation.

He went on to say unluckily an incident has taken place due to which this issue has been raised. Some one is raising C hohan issue and some others are raising some other issues. Some members are saying they will not let off this man and will not allow the budget to be passed.

He underlined Ahsan Iqbal and Khawaja Asif had been attacked The matter should be resolved in consultation with the Ulema.

He remarked government perhaps stands by this stance that it will sort out the issue through use of force. Power rests with parliament only. Talks are underway with the government.

Giving proposals for resolving Faisal Vawda issue he said government should not commit mistake of approving budget without addressing the matter of Faisal Vawda. Budget approval is no issue but the matters which are already running should be resolved, he stressed.
