Brussels: A media delegation headed by Mr.Shakeel Ahmed President Rawalpindi
Islamabad Union of Journalist (RIUJ) during its visit International Federation of Journalist office here on Friday called on Mr. Anthony Bellanger, General Secretary IFJ and discussed the issues of mutual interest.
The Pakistani media delegation comprised of Mr. Azeem Dar correspondent daily Jang/ Geo, and Mr. Rasheed Ahmed correspondent daily Parliament Times, Brussels. Delegation discussed the present situation of media crisis in Pakistan. Pakistani delegation discussed that media worker were facing critical situation as they were being sacked from media organizations. President RIUJ said that freedom of expression was under threat and different tactics were being used in this regards.
Secretary IFJ expressed his concerns over the over the downsizing by different media houses and pledged to extend support on international forum for sake of Freedom of Press.
