Lahore: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has recommended interior ministry to put name of Shehbaz Sharif opposition leader in the National Assembly on Exit Control List (ECL).
NAB has written a letter to interior ministry that a case is under-interrogation against Shehbaz Sharif pertaining to accumulation of assets beyond known sources of income therefore he should be stopped from going abroad.
Interior ministry has received the application from NAB.
According to interior ministry a summary has been prepared to put name of Shehbaz Sharif on ECL.
His name will remain in the interim national list.
People named in the list will be banned to go abroad for 30 days.
The summery to put name of opposition leader in the NA will be sent to cabinet and after approval from the cabinet, his name will be put on the ECL.
It is vital to mention here that NAB had already made a recommendation to put name of Shehbaz Sharif on ECL on Feb 15.
Shehbaz Sharif wanted to go abroad to see his granddaughter and daughter of Hamza Shahbaz in Britain.
