RAWALPINDI: Health department has approved anti dengue plan for this year for Rawalpindi city and the campaign will be commenced from February 15.
According to media reports Food authority has also been included in new anti dengue plan. Under this plan door to door and shop to shop checking will be conducted to discover dengue larva. In union councils and cantonment area teams will be set up at ward level to launch campaign.
At the onset of spring season toxic spray will be done on the poisonous herbs. Chemical spray will be carried out in still water.
Focus will be placed on Pirwadhai, IG Principle road, Islamabad Express way, Khanna and Rawat. Special dengue wards and counters will be set up in allied hospitals in the month of June.
