ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has said overseas Pakistanis can bring with them only one cell phone to Pakistan and there will be no tax on it, however they will have to pay tax on additional cell phones.
He said in a statement on site twitter of social website “ we are importing mobile phones valuing 2 billion dollars and if we don’t impose tax on them then how will we run.
He said that tax on mobile cell valuing below 60 dollars is equal to nothing, however, 38 percent tax has been slapped on costly mobile phones. What will be more appropriate taxation than this. Tax culture will have to adopted, he added.
