ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has met his brother and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif at ministers enclosure in Islamabad Monday.
According to details, both PML-N leaders discussed National Accountability Bureau (NAB) cases and ongoing political situation in the country. Shehbaz Sharif also took Nawaz Sharif into confidence over contacting opposition parties. NAB had allowed Nawaz Sharif to meet the ex-Chief Minister of Punjab.
Shehbaz recently underwent a medical examination. CT scans of his chest and stomach were conducted at a private laboratory in Islamabad. A four-member medical board had requested the opposition leader’s medical examination.
NAB had arrested Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in the Ashiana-e-Iqbal Housing Scheme scam on October 5. The former chief minister was charged with awarding illegal contracts to his favorite firm.
He was apprehended during his appearance before NAB in Saaf Pani Company scam. Sources told that three files were tabled before him. The bureau quizzed Sharif regarding a tender awarded to a private consultancy company for a survey of the Saaf Pani company.
