NEW YORK: United Nations Security Council (UNSC) has condemned in strongest terms terror attacks on Chinese Consulate in Karachi and in Lower Orakzai.
In a statement the member countries have said terrorism in all its forms and manifestations is a threat for global peace and security. Facilitators and financers of terrorists should be brought to justice.
UNSC lauded the role played by security forces personnel in taking timely action during terrorist attacks.
Council members also called upon all UN member states, in accordance with their obligations under international law and relevant security council resolutions, to cooperate actively with the government of Pakistan and all other relevant authorities in this regard.
