Islamabad: Chairman Higher Education Commission Dr. Tariq Banuri says steps are being taken to start online degree verification process.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad he said information technology is being promoted thorough Smart University Programme.
The HEC Chairman said a policy is being devised for the first time to provide facilities to special students. He said the policy will ensure that no special student remains deprived of higher education because of disability.
He said if any international university wants to establish a university in Pakistan, it will be welcomed. However, he said, international universities will have to get approval from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Interior Ministry.
