Islamabad:(parliament Times) In line with directive of State Minister for Communications Mr. Murad Saeed, the National Highway Authority is making practical advancement with regard to afforestation programme along its network. Under 75 Day Action Plan 180,000 saplings will be planted phase wise along National Highways & Motorways. According to details 38850 saplings have been planted todate which include 10000 saplings at Hakla-D.I.Khan Motorway, 13600 plants along Pindi Bhattian-Gojra, Lahore-Islamabad Motorways, 4000 saplings at Hazara Motorway and 11250 plants along Lahore-Abdul Hakeem Motorway. This activity will continue by first week of December 2018.
Chairman NHA Mr. Jawwad Rafique Malik is taking personal interest in plantation campaign. NHA has already planted 7000 plants under “Plant for Pakistan” programme
