Karachi: Ranger’s witness and Investigation officer DSR Riaz has identified MQM leader Amir Khan during hearing of case regarding provision of shelter to terrorists at MQM headquarters ‘Nine Zero’.
Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Karachi took up the case for hearing on Tuesday.
During the course of hearing MQM leader Amir Khan, Minhaj Qazi and Raees Mamma appeared before court.
Investigation officer and Ranger’s witness, DSR Riaz identified Amir Khan and recorded his statement.
According to Rangers official, operation had been conducted on March 11, 2015 at MQM Centre Nine Zero during which Amir Khan was arrested from Khursheed Memorial Hall.
The Counsel of Amir khan will cross-question on next hearing on statement of witness.
Court has adjourned the hearing till October 20.
It merits mention here that nominated suspect Amir Khan along with three other suspects had already been indicted in case pertaining to provision of shelter to terrorists at MQM centre ‘Nine Zero’ while suspect Imran Niazi and Naeem had been declared proclaim offenders.
A case had also been registered against these suspects in Aziz Abad police station while Amir Khan was released on bail.
