Trar-Khal: (Parliament Times) President PPP-AJK chapter Ch. Latif Akbar while terming the incumbent government as a few days’ guest has said that within a few months a new government would be setup in the region in which PPP will have a big share.
The PPP president made these remarks while addressing an election rally here on Monday. Speaking on the occasion Akbar expressed the optimism that Sardar Ghulam Sadiq, the PPP’s candidate for bye-elections in the constituency, would be elected as speaker of the Legislative Assembly again. After inaugurating election office he directed the PPP activists to gear up for a final push to contact the voters and to spread the PPP founders’ message and ideology all across the region. He said that the PPP was the only political party that stands for the poor and economically downtrodden masses. He said that PPP’s founder Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto had laid the foundation of the party for the resolution of Kashmir issue. He said that the PPP will continue its all out support to Kashmir cause unless the dispute is resolved in accordance with the will and wishes of Kashmiri people.
Besides senior leaders of the PPP including former minister Matloob Inqilabi and Member Kashmir Council Pervez Akhtar Awan the function was also addressed by Sardar Ghulam Sadiq the PPP’s nominated candidate for the bye elections being held on the seat, which was left vacant after the demise of PML-N legislator Khan Bahadur Khan.
