Islamabad: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will hold here a two-day international Seerah conference on ‘Seerat-un-Nabi’, as a part of series of its activities, motivating the youth to follow the teaching of ‘Quran and Sunnah’ for having a better life.
The main theme of conference is ‘Fiqh Al-Sheerah’ and its contemporary applications. The scheduled dates of the event are October 4-5. It will be presided over by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Siddiqui, it was announced here on Thursday.
It will be the third such consecutive event, being arranged by the University in the recent years to project the teachings of Islam, as per the guideline set by the Holy Prophet (PBUH) through his sayings and deeds.
The Vice Chancellor took a number of initiatives during the last four years to develop the AIOU as a hub of religious, social and literary activities.
The University’s academic research was also brought in line with the requirements of the society by focusing on its socio-economic issues.
