Punjab Government decides to legislate for weekly holiday regarding domestic servants

Lahore: Punjab Government has decided to make legislation to declare weekly holiday and other civic amenities compulsory for the domestic servants.
According to Punjab government sources to protect and ensure the rights and privileges including the salaries of domestic servants this segment of society will also be brought under the purview of Labour Laws. The existing Labour laws will also be amended accordingly. Following the government steps incidents of any sort of torture, inhuman treatment and cruelty can be checked and prevented.
