Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the four-day anti-polio campaign began on Monday. “During the anti-polio drive more than seven hundred eleven thousand children will be administered the anti-polio vaccine and Vitamin-A drops”, says a press release issued here on Monday.
In district Muzaffarabad, 1,24,249 children up to five year age will be administered anti-Polio vaccines and Vitamin -drops and for this purpose 359 mobile teams have been constituted and 58 fixed and 19 transit points have been set up by Polio Eradication Committee.
Meen while, a meeting of the Polio Eradication Committee was held under the chairmanship of Dr.Zahid Iqbal Awan, which was attended by Muhammad Riaz, Muhammad Saddique Mughal, Saba Bashir, Madiha Nasim, Raja Shahzad Ahmed, Sheikh Muhammad Rafique, Raja Muhammad Babar Khan, Raja Shahzad, Mir Shaiq Hussain, Raja Tariq Hussain, Qazi Hafiz ur Rehman, Mir Muhammad Arif, Abdul Rashid Mughal, Raja Zahid Mehmood, Sabir Hussain Awan, Qazi Tanvir Hussain, Muhammad Ijaz Malik, Tariq Mehmood Minhas, Syeda Salma Gillani and Mrs Fozia. During the meeting committee decided that anti-polio drive would continue till 27 of September.
According to details all headmasters of government and provide schools will be part of the mobile teams. A control room has also been set up at the deputy commissioner office.
