LAHORE: Justice Ali Akbar Qureshi of Lahore High Court (LHC) while imposing ban on driving by under age drivers has remarked if any under age child is caught driving then action will be taken against his parents.
A single bench of LHC led by Justice Ali Akbar Qureshi took up for hearing a petition filed by Abdullah Malik of Civil society against driving by under age drivers here Wednesday.
Justice Ali Akbar Qureshi remarked during the course of hearing of the case that under age drivers can not drive Chingchi rickshaw, motorcycle and vehicle therefore, the parents of under age children will be summoned in the first phase and affidavit will be taken from them.
He further remarked the implementation of this law will be ensured strictly. Even then if the underage children are caught driving action will be taken against their parents because the responsibility of unadult rests with the parents.
He observed that violators will be sent to jail.
