AJK University set to celebrate Independence Day

Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir is all set to celebrate Independence Day with traditional zest and zeal says a press release issued here on Thursday.

According to details the main function in this regard will be held at the University’s Chehla campus in collaboration with AJK Tourism Department and Kashmir Cultural Academy. Whereas speaker AJK Legislative Assembly Shah Ghulam Qadir and vice chancellor AJK University Dr. M Kaleem Abbasi will unfurl the National Flag on the occasion. Meanwhile a meeting was held under the chairmanship of vice chancellor Dr. Abbasi wherein he was briefed about different programs being arranged for the day. Besides holding speech contests students of the veracity will also present National Songs during the day long celebrations. Expressing satisfaction over the arrangements the VC directed the organizing committee to hoist national flag atop of the University building besides decorating it with string lights.
