Peshawar: Chairman Qaumi Watan Party Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao condemned the twin blasts in Bannu on Akram Khan Durrani and in Mastung on Friday, in which Siraj Raisani embraced martyrdom . The blasts also killed at least 04 people and injured several others.
He said this while addressing a public meeting at Charsadda on Friday during his election campaign.
He expressed heartfelt sorrows over the martyrdom of Nawab Zada Siraj Raisani in Mastung blast incident. He said that the political destabilization in the country would not be in the greater interests of the democratic process.
He expressed his deepest sorrows and condolences over the martyrdom of the innocent people who lost their lives in the barbaric incidents. He said that targeting the politicians on the approach of the elections is not a good omen for the stability of democratic norms. He asked the provincial and federal care-taker governments to ensure the safety of the politicians and political workers.
QWP chief said that terrorism had played havoc with the lives ofthe people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and merged parts of tribal areas. He said it was the time that the government should devised strategy to effectively tacklethe menace.
He has expressed his concern over the recent terrorism incidents he said that it was the time that the government should take effective steps to control menace of terrorism and ensure protection of the politicians to providethem peaceful environment for smooth election campaigns and gave way to holding of transparent lections.
